Mattress QR codes appear in several locations depending on the brand. Purple mattresses include a QR on the registration card packaged with the mattress and also on the mattress label sewn into the edge of the cover. Casper mattresses typically have a QR on the box or included quick-start card. Saatva includes a QR in the white-glove delivery documentation. The law label sewn into every mattress in the United States includes the mattress serial number and manufacturing information. Some brands place a QR on this label or adjacent to it for quick registration access. Registering before the box is recycled ensures access to the box QR if the mattress label QR is harder to reach.

Mattress Warranties Are Long and Condition-Dependent

Mattress warranties typically run 10-25 years, making them among the longest warranty periods in the consumer products space. However, these warranties have specific conditions: sagging defects are covered only if the sag exceeds a specific depth, typically 1 to 1.5 inches. The owner needs only to provide their contact information and purchase date. For mattresses purchased through Amazon or other third-party retailers, the QR remains the primary registration path because auto-registration through the retailer is not always available.

Gifted Mattresses and Foundation Registration

Mattresses are increasingly purchased as gifts, especially for college students and first-time renters. The recipient may be the owner but the purchaser's information is in the retailer's system. QR-based registration allows the recipient to register the mattress under their own name with the gift purchase documentation. Box spring and foundation registration is often overlooked because the focus is on the mattress itself, but foundations carry separate warranties at many brands. Registering both the mattress and foundation together via a single QR scan or registration session ensures full coverage for the sleep system.
