Instant Pot models place the QR on the outer sleeve of the retail box and sometimes on the base of the cooker itself. Vitamix blenders include a QR on the bottom of the motor base. On countertop ovens and air fryers, it is on the back or bottom label. On coffee makers, it is typically on the base or behind the water reservoir. If the QR on the packaging links directly to a registration form that asks for the serial, scanning the physical appliance to auto-read the serial number eliminates the manual lookup step. Some brands now support serial auto-read via camera in their registration flow.
