Why Grill Warranties Don't Require a Receipt

Grill manufacturers tie warranty coverage to the product serial number, not to a paper receipt. The serial number encodes the production batch and date, giving the manufacturer everything needed to validate a claim. Most major brands - Weber, Traeger, Broil King, Napoleon - accept serial-number-only registration.

Where to Find Your Grill's Serial Number

On gas grills, the serial number sticker is typically on the inside of the lid, on the back of the firebox, or on the side of the cart frame. On pellet grills, check the back panel near the auger motor or the underside of the lid. On kettle-style charcoal grills, it is usually on the bottom of the bowl or on the ash catcher.
